good read on high magick

Rencently I've read my way through my first book by Robert A. Heinlein - Stranger In A Strange Land! Actually, it was the 650+ pages german translation of Heinlein's original version which is said to be about a third bigger then the one first published.

I had come across the title in due to my interest in polyamory and my attention to minx'es podcast polyamory weekly where Heinlein and 'Stranger' were mentioned more than once as a poly person's first contact and inspiration to polyamory.

Wow,...

abracadabra

found this interesting citation in a mailing-list

> "
> And remember the Aramaic phrase, "abraq ad habra" which we
> knew as kids as abracadabra. It means,
> "I will create as I speak".
> Stay conscious of the words you use in your daily life.
> "
>
> sandra ingerman.

I didn't know this meaning and and was surprised by it as to me it reveals yet one more - obviously very old - understanding of high magick: that mind rules matter!

Oh, nice: "I will create as I speak"
Well...

inpropper magick?

Here is a note I wrote down sadly during last years AGM (05) after some dull first degree freaked out badly on some neophyte's 'inpropper' magick:

====
if the pacts strength is our diversity, then what is the use in making new members - havin neophytes - but to also learn from them while they learn from us.

I apreciate when they show me the way they do it (magick) - instead of having them (through my personal effort) do it my way.

As if we knew already all the answers about magick and if there...

On the doughnut shape

The universe is doughnut shaped - thanks Baphomet for that nice thing to tell, especially as there is a way to understand this as much much more than a funny joke. In his book 'Holos', well established and respected scientist Ervin Laszlo (available both in English and German) shows how:

At the beginning of the 20th century science was looking for a new paradigm of how matter and the universe are constructed to incorporate the new knowledge that had been created in physics, chemistry etc durcing...
