The universe is doughnut shaped - thanks Baphomet for that nice thing to tell, especially as there is a way to understand this as much much more than a funny joke. In his book 'Holos', well established and respected scientist Ervin Laszlo (available both in English and German) shows how:

At the beginning of the 20th century science was looking for a new paradigm of how matter and the universe are constructed to incorporate the new knowledge that had been created in physics, chemistry etc durcing the last decades. One possible choice was the atom modell that
we all know and that is treated as ultimate reality in our world today; yet there were alternative modells but the scientific process of selecting the best modell wasn't fully based on the scientific facts and an open discussion if their implications - it is said to have been quite personal and unfair...

The atom modell states that matter is constructed by atoms - the smallest an not further dividable units, which 'just' exist out of themselves within the void space - no observer, no more levels of the universe unterneath them. Well later physics discovered that atoms are in fact composed of neurons, electrons etc, but for the atom modell this just meant that the level of the smallest and undividable things moved down the scale a few more steps and the basic notion of the atom modell was still unchallenged. In a world described by that modell, matter
exists out of itself so all things in the universe are seperated.

An alternative (then rejected) view describes the world as based on a field (aether, kia, ...) which spans space filled with energy flowing. Fields in motion can form various types of waves as they can also be observed in gasses and fluids and one of those forms, the torus (like a smokering) is a very stable and durable form of flow. The other
modell proposes that such doughnut shaped wavelets within the aether constitute the smallest observable units of matter - observable once their frequency (rate of rotation) is low enaugh. In such a universe,
every material thing is an aspect of a field and all those object fields together form the universal field of the universe (the aether, kia, ..) - so all things are aspects of the same underlying field, they are all on - hence 'WE are all one' und 'all things are one'.

What a difference!

It seems possible to me that Mister Baphomet expressed his preference for the latter modell when he told us in his ultimate answer that the universe is doughnut shaped. As above so below - macro and micro level - form of the universe and form of the matter's building blocks...
