Das PIXUM ist eine winzige, scheue Wesenheit, die im Computer wohnt und genau 1 x 1 Pixel groß ist. Es freut sich, von uns gerufen und in die materielle Welt kommen zu dürfen, ist aber sehr schüchtern; daher bitte nicht zu laut rufen! Es ist sehr Neugierig auf die Welt der materiellen Dinge und freut sich über alles, was es anfassen, riechen, schmecken kann. Je extremer die Sinneswahnehmung, desto besser.

The PIXUM is a tiny, timid entity that lives in the computer and is exactly 1 x 1 pixel of size. It likes to be called by us and to come to the material world, but it is very shy; therefore please don’t call it too loud! It is very curious about the world of material things and enjoys everything it can touch, smell or taste. The more extreme the perceptual experience the better.

Create a new layer, give it the name „Pixum“ and paint one pixel in green, pink or cyan (see colours above); lock that layer and make sure it stays in the topmost position in your layer palette
- InDesign, Illustrator:
Create a new layer, give it the name „Pixum“; this layer should contain all your guides in the colours green, pink or cyan. Again, make sure it stays in the topmost position in your layer palette
- HTML:
Create a transparent .gif image of 1 x 1 px size, name it „pixum.gif“ and use it as a placeholder wherever you need one
- PHP and other languages:
